Full Itinerary

Arusha – Lake Manyara, Travel time: 2 ½ hours

Distance: 130 km

Pick up early in the morning from your Hotel in Arusha, then depart for Lake Manyara National Park with heavy picnic lunch. Upon arrive at the gate, take all registrations and start fascinating game drive to the late evening where you will drive to Karatu near Ngorongoro conservation area for dinner and overnight.

The Park is famous for tree climbing lions and most of its area is covered by soda ash lake. The park has a big number of elephants, so many giraffes; zebras, wildebeest, impala, waterbuck, and warthog, small known shy Kik’s dik dik as well as Klipspringer along the ramps of the rift valley escarpment. Leopards are hosted within the broken forests and escarpment, Regarded as Africa’s largest, huge herds of baboons .

You will be able to see flocks of pelicans and pink shading of distant flamingos in the middle of the lake. But the more interesting species will be viewed in the evergreen forests; for example, crowned eagles, crested guinea fowl and the silvery cheeked horn-bills.

Karatu – Ngorongoro (18 min, 15.1 km) Conservation Area – Arusha

After breakfast depart for Ngorongoro Crater with lunch box, descend down the Crater floor for a magnificent game drive, Ngorongoro Crater is one of the most densely crowded African wildlife areas in the world and is home to an estimated 30,000 animals including some of Tanzania’s last remaining black rhino. lunch at hippo pool picnic site and  then game drive before ascend to the rim, Option visiting Maasai village, souvenir shops and drive back to Arusha in the late evening and drop off at your Arusha hotel for overnight.
